New Director for the
Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning
Daryl R. Privott: Director of Faculty Center of Teaching & Learning (FCTL)
The FCTL is responsible for: identifying and implementing new initiatives needed to support professional development for faculty; encouraging faculty to apply scholarly methods to enhance instruction with a variety of student constituencies; promoting lifelong teaching and learning; encouraging collaboration and sharing of expertise; and, identifying strategies for enhancing student learning and helping faculty and staff implement those strategies. Consequently, Workshop Wednesday will be posting all initiatives that Dr. Privott and the FCTL offer.

If you'd like to chat with Daryl, you can find him in his office, 100 Camden-Carroll, from 9am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also, you can email him at FCTL@moreheadstate.edu .

Career Services (ground floor of the Camden-Carroll Library):
  • Road Show - August 22nd (Wednesday) from 10am to 2pm at the Bell Tower. Stop by to learn more about Career Services and get all of your career-related questions answered.
  • Resume Lab - Sept 5th (Wednesday) from 2pm to 4pm in Bert Combs Building, Room 302. Your resume is a very important document in your job/internship search. Drop in and let the professionals in Career Services assist you in constructing a strong resume. Start from scratch or bring a draft in electronic form.

The 2018 Kentucky Convergence Conference will be held October 17-19 at the University of Louisville Shelby Campus. The call for proposals will be issued in spring 2018. This year’s theme is “The Next Reality: Doing it Farther, Faster, and Better.”

Convergence is the single event that brings together professionals in information technology, academic libraries, online learning, and instructional design from all the public and private colleges and universities in Kentucky and the surrounding states.
