World Breastfeeding Week 2020
It's World Breastfeeding Week, so the staff at Community Teamwork's Lowell WIC Program put together this VIDEO to share all their favorite reasons why they promote and support breastfeeding. ENJOY!

So many exciting things are happening at our WIC program. Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, EVA CORTES, (pictured left) has been conducting VIRTUAL Breastfeeding and Happiest Baby classes from her home and is able to do remote individual appointments and check-ins.

We're posting Step-by-Step Recipe videos and creating informational handouts for “Tip Tuesday” on our FACEBOOK PAGE.

All mothers are superheroes and every superhero needs a team! Who is your breastfeeding team? Pick individuals who have breastfeeding experience, support you, and/or those who understand the importance of breastfeeding. Let WIC be a part of your breastfeeding team!
The relationship between mom and baby is special, but so is baby's bond with dad. While breastfeeding may make you feel a little left out, here are some TIPS on how you and your baby can grow close.

Nutrition while breastfeeding is just as important as nutrition during pregnancy. As a breastfeeding mom, it’s important to aim for a variety of foods each day including fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy and lean protein! Your WIC food package will help make sure you have lots of delicious, healthy choices available.
