This Sunday is the start of our stewardship campaign, youth-led worship, and World
Communion Sunday. It will be a faithful celebration of Word & Sacrament, a representation to who we are as Sunnysiders.
Our passage - Matthew 21:23-32 - features Jesus' authority being questioned. When his authority is questioned, Jesus answers with a parable of a father sending his two sons out into the vineyard to work. One son says he will go but does not; the other son says he will not but goes out. Jesus then asks them, "Which son did the will of the father?" The crowds know it was the son who put in the work.
What does it mean to be put to work in the church? How can we give what we have to offer? How can we do the will of our Creator God?
This Sunday of stewardship season we will address those questions, and we will reflect on the giving of time, talents, and tithes. We hope you will join us!
