SCAM ALERT!
We have recently been notified that World Dairy Expo exhibitors and attendees are receiving calls and/or emails from companies claiming to be an agent of, or associated with, World Dairy Expo and offering mailing lists or discounted hotel room rates, among other things. Please note that we have no relationship with any third-party company selling email lists or assisting with booking hotel rooms on our behalf, nor is World Dairy Expo providing your information to these parties.
Each year, events like World Dairy Expo are targeted by scammers due to their popularity.
Please alert our team if you are contacted by anyone outside of World Dairy Expo regarding your participation in the show that looks suspicious, or if you ever have questions about whether someone who has reached out to you has a legitimate relationship with World Dairy Expo. Partners who may legitimately reach out to you include our official program publisher, Dairy Herd Management, or our Expo Daily Edition publisher, Dairy Star. You can reach us at wde@wdexpo.com or by phone at 608-224-6455 with any concerns.
Below is an example of how sophisticated scamming has become. Note that the email appears to have come from wde@wdexpo.com.
