From The Editors November 5th, 2019

In this issue of British Columbia Golf's newsletter we have news on the rollout of the much anticipated World Handicap System (WHS) which will take effect in 2020. Canada is one of the countries currently planning to implement the new system at the start of the New Year. Find out more in the attached article.

We also have the announcement of the players nominated by British Columbia Golf for the annual PNGA Player of The Year Awards. And it seems hard to believe, but it was 20 years ago this past month that PGA Tour superstar and Air Canada Championship regular competitor Payne Stewart was killed in a tragic plane mishap. Golf.com contributor John Hawkins takes a look back at the eerie events taking place on that day.

You can also find a useful piece on various gifts for the golfer in your life, or yourself for that matter, as well as a survey to help the Vancouver Parks Golf Courses serve you better, a video of a world record for 'longest useable club'and much more.

And As always, if you have any thoughts or suggestions on topics you'd like to see appear going forward in your newsletter please send a message via the "Contact Us" button located on the top right of the BC Golf website home page.
