American Sign Language (ASL) students have opportunities to learn the basics or advance to the next level. American Sign Language (ASL) (12148) begins Tuesday evening, September 12, 2023. Those who have taken both the introductory and ASL II with Gianna Hittmann or who have a comparable understanding of vocabulary and syntax may register for the next course in the sequence, American Sign Language III (12149), meeting on Wednesday evenings starting September 13, 2023.

Claudia Schwartz leads German instruction again this fall on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, for late morning Advanced Beginner German (12174) and mid-morning Intermediate German (12175).

Polyglot Viviane Lynch marks her return to SAS with Tuesday evening sessions of Beginner Italian (12251) starting September 26, 2023.

Spanish at multiple levels is also in the schedule. Beginner Spanish (12158) will meet Thursday late mornings, starting September 14, 2023, with Michelle Haiek Zooming in from Venezuela. Beginner Spanish II begins in person (12230) in the late afternoon on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, with Patricia Almanzar and online (12221) in the evening on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, with Shaun Johnson. Haiek will lead late morning Intermediate Spanish (12155) and mid-morning Advanced Spanish (12156), both starting starting Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

In a format that emphasizes practicing discussion skills, three levels of conversational classes are in the lineup as well. Almanzar teaches Conversational Spanish (12229) starting Wednesday afternoons on September 13, 2023. Johnson leads Intermediate to Advanced Conversational Spanish (12220) late Tuesday afternoons beginning September 12, 2023. Haiek moderates Advanced Conversational Spanish (12157) on Thursday mornings, beginning September 14, 2023.
