GLOBAL WILDLIFE PROGRAM
This World Wildlife Day join us in celebrating
"Partnerships for Conservation"
The Global Wildlife Program (GWP), funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), promotes resilient, wildlife-based livelihoods and combats wildlife crime. The GWP is one of the largest global partnerships created to reduce wildlife poaching, trafficking, and demand.

We do so by laying the foundations for partnership locally in 31 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean and partnering globally through a collaborative knowledge platform that connects people across borders and enables the sharing of experiences, lessons, and best practices. Through our projects, we work with governments, local communities, Indigenous Peoples, nongovernmental organizations, donors, universities, schools and many other institutions to conserve wildlife and habitats.

In honor of World Wildlife Day and this year's theme of Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation, we are excited to share examples from across GWP projects of successful partnerships for wildlife conservation—all possible through GEF support.

Please peruse the GWP website to find out more about our projects and activities and join us in celebrating the world’s wildlife!
