Support PWRDF during the postal strike
Thank you to all our generous donors. Due to the Canada Post strike, please consider making your gift online at pwrdf.org/give-today or by calling 1-866-308-7973. You can also support the World of Gifts by ordering online at pwrdf.org/worldofgifts or by calling 1-877-936-9199. We would love to hear from you!
Parishes wanting to send donations can also do so online pwrdf.org/give-today then choosing “Give on behalf of a Group” and then choose “bank account” instead of credit card for payment. Please share this bulletin insert that explains how to support your Anglican charities.
Until the strike ends, deliveries of World of Gifts cards and Christmas cards will be delayed. Please ensure we have your email for tax receipts and updates.

Celebrating NEDC's achievements
PWRDF is proud to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our partner, the Nuu-chah-nulth Economic Development Corporation (NEDC)! Our partnership with NEDC has empowered Indigenous communities through language reclamation, business development, and youth entrepreneurship, leading to inspiring stories of success.
Priest honours mother with bequest to PWRDF’s Indigenous programs
Rev. Barbara Nangle's journey to the priesthood was long and winding. After her husband's death, she was encouraged to get ordained and served in an Indigenous community in Northern Quebec. PWRDF expresses gratitude for the gift in her will to support our Indigenous programs, honouring her mother and representing three generations of women.

WWII soldier’s bravery inspires support for PWRDF’s Gaza response
On Remembrance Day, we honoured the sacrifices of those who have served and died in war. One remarkable Canadian is Lt. Gordon DeBlois, who died in battle in 1944. A memorial fund created in his name recently donated $25,000 to PWRDF to support Gaza relief efforts. DeBlois' story and legacy inspire us to work towards a world free from poverty, ignorance, and conflict. The fund also supports Ukraine relief efforts and promotes peace, justice, and human rights.

PWRDF partner TSURO Trust visits National Gathering
PWRDF was pleased to welcome Roseline Mukonoweshuro and Farai Gumisai from our partner, TSURO Trust, to the 2024 National Gathering in Hamilton, Ontario. They shared insights into the Nature Plus project, a three-year initiative in Zimbabwe's Manicaland Province that promotes nature-positive food systems to enhance climate change adaptation. During their visit, Roseline and Farai engaged in discussions with the PWRDF board, diocesan representatives, youth council and staff. Their Canadian tour didn't stop there – they travelled east, sharing their expertise and experiences in Ottawa, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, inspiring understanding and support for TSURO's vital work.
