DETAILS:
World of Inquiry’s senior class of 2020 will participate in a College March as they mail letters declaring their intent to apply for college. The group will join other seniors in marches taking place across the country, while peers, teachers, and community members cheer them along the way.

Seniors will mail letters stating their intentions to apply to the colleges of their choice since college applications are completed online. Their letters will also include notes of gratitude for adults who have shown them support and guidance through the years.

The Class of 2020 will march from World of Inquiry to City Hall beginning at 9:30 a.m. They are expected to arrive at City Hall at approximately 10:00 a.m., where Mayor Lovely Warren will greet them. At 10:30 a.m., each senior will mail their letter of intent and the students’ names will be announced. There will be many cheers from the crowd as each student drops his/her letter in a mailbox.

The College March provides a forum to celebrate seniors and to encourage all to apply to college and inspire underclassmen to follow in their route. In addition, it celebrates and reminds individuals that college and post-graduation opportunities are accessible to all if done with intentional effort and focus.
