World's Oldest Alphabet is Hebrew
Archaeologist Dr. Doug Petrovich has Identified the names that the Egyptians gave to Joseph, Jacob, Manasseh, Ephraim, and a young man named Shechem in the last five lectures recorded at the IGH conference in 2017. This is amazing given that the typical scholar's
conclusion for more than a century is that the Biblical history prior to king David is so highly corrupted with mythology that it is largely fictitious.
A key fact that enabled these identifications is recognition that the Egyptians often named people after the significant events in their life that distinguished that individual from others. Thus the name used by the Egyptians were often a descriptive phrase instead of single word. For example some of the names that referenced Joseph include:
The king's wise man.
He who put the king of the gods to the forefront.
He who is over all the land of Egypt.
Sa-Sobek (son of sobek)
This man eclipsed the cadre of wise
men that pharaohs had. He prepared for coming years of famine. He was made "vizier over all the land of Egypt" under Pharaoh Sesostris II. This title is unique, never occurring before or after in Egyptian history. He built canals to water a low lying area known as the Faiyum and turned it into a breadbasket for Egypt. Sobek was to the Egyptian mind a god that controlled flooding of the Nile to produce an abundance of crops. This man was of Levantine origin but he had an Egyptian wife named Asenath. His two oldest sons by Asenath became known as "He who was disfavored" and "He who ascended".
"He who was disfavored" got the tough job
of going to the turquoise minds in the Sinai desert each year to manage the turquoise production for trade that no doubt help make them rich. Each year Manasseh would erect large stone slabs called stelae to commemorate what had been accomplished. While Manasseh was sweating in the desert Ephraim was managing the family properties in Avaris, ever expanding Manasseh's and Ephraim's rather palatial estate. Some excavators have thought that this structure must be the palace of a pharaoh except for one problem - there is no throne or throne room! Many generations and six dynasties later pharaoh Ramesses II build an even bigger palace complex over this same site.
After that the place name changed from Avaris to Ramesses. This is the Ramses mentioned in the Bible. It is actually the same place as Avaris but at a higher archaeological stratum.
During the time of Manasseh and Ephraim some important things happened with the written language they were using. They had grown up immersed in both Hebrew and Egyptian hieroglyphics of the middle kingdom. Egyptian hieroglyphs of the period had over 800 symbols including consonants, syllables, and words interacting in a complex manner. Obviously that language is much less efficient to use than modern languages where
words are formed from a alphabet with a small number of symbols. In fact on Manasseh's stelae there began to appear an alphabetic language using a small number of the Hieroglyphic symbols plus three symbols that are not Egyptian. What language this early alphabetic script is has long been disputed among scholars with little resolution.
Dr. Petrovich's recorded lecture will make the case that the language of the world's first alphabetic script is none other than Hebrew. Further this alphabetic script was produced by Manasseh and Ephraim perhaps with some help or direction from Joseph. All of this is exciting groundbreaking material. My highly compressed summary above can only provide a general idea of all that is involved or how important it is. Dr. Petrovich will expand the view, fill in the details, and provide the authority of years of scholarship. His work will set in motion a paradigm shift in archaeology and confidence in the Bible.

Examples of Important YEC Scientific Evidences
Some major examples of physical evidence we point to include:
- Remains of original soft tissue still found in dinosaur bones. Along with that tissue is C-14 that would decay completely away in less than a hundred thousand years, a tiny fraction of the dinosaur fossil's supposed age.
- For many years geologists have found C-14 in fossil carbon throughout the fossil record. So, the entire fossil record is less than 100,000 years old.
- The origin of the information and molecular machinery in the first living self-reproducing cell remains a complete enigma for biologist and biochemists.
- In the origin of the universe, big bang theory is being recognized as a dead end by increasing numbers of secular scientists. The hypothesized inflation has nothing to start it, drive it forward, or stop it. Without inflation fatal flaws appear with the absence of predicted antimatter, magnetic monopoles, or any means for the whole universe to come to the same precise background temperature. Then the formation of the first stars is as enigmatic as the origin of the first biological cell. Dark matter and dark energy are as enigmatic as the galactic motions they are needed to explain.
At the root of all standard science are many assumptions that may be quite incorrect. At the top is that there is no God. Another is that present process can be used to explain everything in the past. When we look at a canyon we are taught to assume the river at the bottom cut the canyon. But perhaps tectonic events made the canyon and there is a river at the bottom because water always flows downhill. At the root of big bang theory is a pure assumption that has been named the "Cosmological Principle". Perhaps inaccuracies there are responsible for the big bang's multitude of problems.
