Worlds of Wonder: HANDS ON LEARNING TO FOSTER CREATIVITY & CURIOSITY

DINOSAUR CAMP

FROM JUNES 18TH-JULY 6TH
(CLOSED ON 4TH OF JULY)

DINOSAURS ALIVE
WHAT WE DO

This week, campers explored the t heme "What is a Dinosaur?" Circle time included in depth presentations and discussions about what happened to the dinosaurs, where did the dinosaurs live and continental drift?

The children were very creative with what they learned and made paper dinosaur hats, sponge and paper plate art, salt dough fossil imprints, dinosaur Ice Eggs and masks, as well as dinosaur skeletons with dried pasta or straws.

There were fun and academic activities that included dinosaur alphabet matching, dinosaur numbers and counters, T-Rex foot measuring, shape paper punching, and creating actual dinosaur habitat and dinosaur scenes based on what they learned.

In the following weeks, campers will learn how to distinguish different dinosaurs, such as the Stegasaurus and Triceratops and will learn how to classify dinosaurs based on their diet. They will do dinosaur rubbings, clips, stamps and even sand digs! The children will continue their Dino-ramas and create their own Dino Constructions. Fair warning parents, it looks like their may be some future paleontologists on our hands.
REMINDERS
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Dear Summer Parents,

We have decided to send our Enewsletter for all sessions to all of our Summer Parents so that parents of children enrolled in the current camp can see what their children are doing and parents of children enrolled in a different camp can get a good idea of what each of our camps has to offer. If you prefer to be removed from our list please email the Encinal office at office@thechildunique.org.

If you would like to sign up for any of our camps, please visit our website and go to the "Rates & Calendar" Form page  to download, fill out and return a copy of the
"Summer Brochure." We look forward to a great summer!
Highlight a promotion, product, event, or anything that needs special attention.

Other notes: please be sure you have brought sunscreen,  a healthy lunch, nap items and all of the necessary paperwork for your child.

Thank you!
