Worn Out? 4/6/16
Daniel 7:25 (KJV)
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
SHALL WEAR OUT THE SAINTS OF THE MOST HIGH!"
Are YOU WORN OUT!!??
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
I received Daniel 7:25 in an email forwarded to me Monday from a dear friend and saint.
I had totally forgotten this obscure Scripture that the author used.
God touched my heart as He brought its TRUTH to bear in my being.
Little did I know that when I preached this sermon today, I would be the one "worn out!"
Little Amanda had "one of those nights" and awoke (PTL for awakening AGAIN!) last night and I got precious little sleep.
More often than not, it is the "little foxes" of THIS life that wears US out!
Song of Songs 2:15 (KJV)
15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
It is the seemingly constancy of LITTLE things, minor-not major crises, and others DEMAND that we do more or better.
The Christian must ALWAYS be wary of the "Martha syndrome;"
Luke 10:40 (KJV)
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
Did not our Father COMMAND us to "NOT GIRD THEMSELVES (ourselves) WITH ANYTHING THAT CAUSES SWEAT!!!!!!!!!!!"
Ezekiel 44:17-18 (KJV)
17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.
18 They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.
As another dear friend and mentor once said to me, "Doug, if it is OF GOD it is EASY!!
We must ALWAYS keep in mind:
Psalm 127:1 (KJV)
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
The KEY WORDS in the following Scripture is "THROUGH Christ which STRENGTHENETH me!"
Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
To use a sports analogy, it is NOT the goalies job to kick the points!
His or her sole responsibility is to attempt to block the opponents shot-PERIOD!
NOT MY MONKEYS-NOT MY CIRCUS!!"
As I preached last Sunday, EVERYBODY NEEDS A HIDING PLACE!!!
A place and/or a time when one relaxes and relinquishes our "reign" of our lives and/or the lives of others.
If YOU didn't break it, it is NOT your responsibility to FIX it!!
As many of you know, I am now taking professional music lessons!
One of the first things my wonderful teachers taught me was, that while on stage,
NEVER LET EM SEE YOU SWEAT!!
And IF and WHEN you make a mistake, IGNORE it and act like it was part of the act and performance!!!
DO NOT LET THE dEVIL OR THIS LIFE "WEAR YOU OUT!!"
Did not OUR Lord and Savior encourage US with His Word:
Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
AMEN AND AMEN!
GOD BLESS YOU!
