Welcome & Announcements
Prelude
Berceuse - Louis Vierne
Call to Worship
Isaiah 55:1-3
One:
Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;
and you that have no money, come, buy and eat!
Many:
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
One:
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?,
Many:
Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
One:
Incline your ear, and come to me; listen so that you may live.
Many:
I will make with you an everlasting covenant…

A Litany of Confession
One:
For clouded eyes that see no further than our own advantage,
Many:
Christ, forgive us.
One:
For dulled imagination that does not know or want to see what others suffer,
Many:
Christ, forgive us.
One:
For willingness to profit by injustice which we have not tried to prevent,
Many:
Christ, forgive us.
One:
For selfishness that is quick to gain and slow to give,
Many:
Christ, forgive us.
One:
For unconcern that makes us ask, ‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’
Many:
Christ, forgive us.
O God, let your redemptive purposes work through us to build a new and better community of love and grace upon this earth, for the blessing of your creation and the glory of your name. Amen.

Musical Offering
God Will Make a Way - arr. Mark Hayes
Kärin Forsburg, soprano
God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see; He will make a way for me. He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side; with love and strength for each new day, He will make a way.
By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me, and rivers in the desert will I see. Heaven and earth will fade but His Word will still remain. He will do something new today. God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see; He will make a way for me. He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side; with love and strength for each new day, He will make a way.
He leadeth me! O blessed thought! O words with heavenly comfort fraught! Whate'er I do, where e’er I be, still ‘tis God’s hand that leadeth me! He leadeth me, He leadeth me, by His own hand He leadeth me; His faithful foll’wer I would be, for by His hand He leadeth me.
He will make a way.

The Lord’s Prayer
(in unison)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving
(in unison)
Holy God, you have taught us through Christ that love fulfills the law. May we love you with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength, and may we love our neighbor as ourselves; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
