O Lord, we lift our eyes to you.

Many:

We trust you, O Lord.

Teach us your ways.

Lead us to your truths.

One:

All the ways of the Lord reveal steadfast love.

Many:

O Lord, lead us in the light of your love forever.

Prayer of the Day

(in unison)

Spirit of God – Descend upon our open minds as you move among us this morning. Help us to comprehend the great love with which you open yourself to our world that we, in turn, may risk to open ourselves in love toward all your children. May we find the source of our lives in Jesus Christ; in whose name we pray. Amen.

Sharing God's Peace

One:

Many:

In Christ, we are all forgiven.

Pastoral Prayer

The Lord's Prayer

(in unison)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Offertory

The Gift of Love - Hal H. Hopson

Rick Blinn, tenor & Don Milligan, bass

Though I may speak with bravest fire, and have the gift to all inspire, and have not love, my words are vain, as sounding brass, and hopeless gain.

Though I may give all I possess, and striving so my love profess, but not be given by love within, the profit soon turns strangely thin.

Come, Spirit, come, our hearts control, our spirits long to be made whole. Let inward love guide every deed; by this we worship, and are freed.
