As we look to 2021 I want to invite you to make Bible Reading a part of your new year.
Here are two suggestions:
1) https://www.youversion.com/the-bible-app/ Youversion
is a fantastic app that provides myriads of Bible reading plans and opportunities. This year I want to recommend reading the BibleProject New Testament.
(Once you’ve downloaded the app onto your device simply search for the BibleProject NT.) Each day you will read a short passage from the New Testament (about 5 minutes of reading max!) Occasionally you will watch an animated video that gives some background on the Bible. The videos are fantastic. I’ve been using this plan for over a month. I think you’ll really enjoy it.
2) I’m going to have us read through the Gospel of Mark this year using FAITH5 as our starting point.
You can do one or both!
If you haven’t yet worshipped with your Grace family you can do so either on Facebook or YouTube. You will find our Christmas Eve services and our final Christmas service of the year on both sites.
If you are new to FAITH5, here’s how it works.
Set aside 5-10 minutes at the end of the day and do the following by yourself, with those in your household, or even with family/friends online:
Share…1 high and 1 low from the day.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him might not perish but have everlasting life.
Talk…Memorize this verse. Insert your name in place of “the world.” Each day use a different word for the word “love” to dive deep into what God’s love really means.
Pray…for each other. For our world. For our church. For our family and friends.
Bless…each other by making the sign of the cross on each other’s foreheads and say: The LORD Bless You and Keep You.
