THE ORDER OF WORSHIP

THE PROCESSIONAL

Clergy and Choir

 THE DOXOLOGY

"Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow"

Hymn #647

*THE CALL TO WORSHIP*

Minister: I was glad when they said unto me,

let us go into the house of the Lord, our feet shall stand within Thy gates, O Jerusalem.

People: For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Minister: Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

People: Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

Minister: Blessed are they that dwell in thy house. Lord, I have loved thy habitation, the place where thy honor dwelleth.

People: For the Lord is in His holy temple, let all the earth keep silence before Him.

Minister: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight. O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

People: O sing unto the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth, sing praises.

THE PREFACE TO THE DECALOGUE

"From all that dwell below the skies,

let the Creator's praise arise,

let the Redeemer's name be sung,

through every land by every tongue."

(Hymn #69)

THE SUMMARY OF THE DECLAUGE

Jesus said to him, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

THE GLORIA PATRI

"Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."

"RACE, RELIGION, AND LIES"

Next to sex and gender, the subject of race is the most discussed topic in our culture today. Storms of rhetoric and conflict swirl around it every day in politics, churches, the arts, business, the media, and especially social media.

In this Study we will be discussing the Denotative and Connotative definitions of Race, Religion and Lies.

What does the Bible say about Race, Religion and Lies?

What does Sankofa have to do with the Bible.
