Trust that you are on Holy ground because the Lord, your God is present. We invite you to offer your heart toward praising and seeking God. Through our worship today, may each of us grow toward 'becoming and helping others become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ'.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
The two walking on the road to Emmaus were so overwhelmed with their grief they couldn’t see the hope right beside them. When they suddenly saw Jesus, everything else came into focus for them. What can we learn from their experience to help us see more clearly?
We will praise God for the unwavering hope found in Jesus Christ.

HOW WILL YOU RESPOND
RESPOND IN PRAYER
Living God, long ago faithful women proclaimed the good news of Jesus' resurrection, and the world was changed forever. Teach us to keep faith with them, that our witness may be as bold, our love as deep, and our faith as true. Amen.
RESPOND IN GIVING
Trusting in God with all we have, we give to support the work of God's church because we believe in our mission to share God's love with our community and world in the name of Jesus. Give online or by mail. Giving allows us to keep being the church, even in the absence of our physical presence. (411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401)
RESPOND IN REFLECTION
The two on the road "were talking with each other about everything that had happened." Who can you talk to about what is happening in your world right now? Remember, we all 'need somebody to lean on'.
The two shared their resources with the stranger they met on the road. What can you share to help others who are struggling right now? (Money, Prayer, Listening Ear...)
The two shared their hope. Once their eyes were opened to see that Jesus was alive, they couldn't wait to tell what they had experienced. Who needs to hear about your experience with God? Go and share!
RESPOND IN FAITH
God desires to have a relationship with you! He has given us ways to know Him better through His Son, Jesus Christ. Knowing God and having faith in Jesus is a personal and individual decision for each person. Do you have questions about beginning a relationship with God? We would love to talk with you and help you begin or deepen your faith journey.
