Worship Together Online
Welcome to worship in this new kind of church experience. We journey together in growing closer to God through our worship. We're glad you are here!

Today is Memorial Sunday at First Baptist Church. We remember members of our church who have passed away during the last year. Paul says in Philippians 1:3 "I thank my God every time I remember you." We thank God for the lives of those who have died and continue to pray for family and friends left grieving the loss of a loved one. Dr. Jim Everette will share a heartfelt message, "Life on the Other Side" with us this week. Let's worship together!

As followers of Jesus, we are living proof that Easter is not an isolated event. But, It can be difficult to live like Jesus when we are burning with frustration and overwhelmed with anxiety, grief or fear. Do you ever succumb to going back to living as you did before your life was transformed by the life-altering power of the resurrection? Jesus knows when our dreams or more like nightmares. When we feel overwhelmed by life and our get-up-and-go has gotten up and gone, Jesus shows up with grace and hope.
O God of glory,
your Son Jesus Christ suffered for us
and ascended to your right hand.
Unite us with Christ and each other,
in suffering and in joy,
that all your children may be drawn
into your bountiful dwelling. Amen.
Trusting in God with all we have, we give to support the work of God's church because we believe in our mission to share God's love with our community and world in the name of Jesus. Give online or by mail. Giving allows us to keep being the church, even in the absence of our physical presence. (411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401)
  • What positive adjustments to living have you made on the other side of Easter?
  • What new aspects to living that you have begun over the last two months might you continue on the other side of the adjustments you have made during the slowdown of COVID-19?
God desires to have a relationship with you! He has given us ways to know Him better through His son, Jesus Christ. Knowing God and having faith in Jesus is a personal and individual decision for each person. Do you have questions about being in a relationship with God? We would love to talk with you and help you begin or deepen your faith journey.
