Trust that you are on Holy ground because the Lord, your God, is present. We invite you to offer your heart toward praising and seeking God. Through our worship today, may each of us grow toward 'becoming and helping others become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.'
This morning you will have the opportunity to partake in the Lord's Supper . Jesus used common everyday elements as he instituted this powerful symbolic act of love with his disciples. Use your typical drink and bread as we remember together the sacrifice of our Savior.
Most of us vacillate through life between “Thank you Jesus!” and “Lord have mercy.” But, you are the cherished object of God’s affection! Let that sink in when you feel like you are sinking. Life in the dark valley is not good, but our guiding shepherd is and he will get us through. He has prepared a table for us to receive Holy Communion with him today.
Holy Shepherd, you know your sheep by name and lead us to safety through the valleys of death. Guide us by your voice, that we may walk in certainty and security to the joyous feast prepared in your house, where we celebrate with you forever. Amen.
Trusting in God with all we have, we give to support the work of God's church because we believe in our mission to share God's love with our community and world in the name of Jesus. Give online or by mail. Giving allows us to keep being the church, even in the absence of our physical presence. (411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401)
Psalm 23 is “migratory.” It represents a movement throughout different trails and seasons of life we all experience.
  • What season are you in? Do you relate more to green pastures and still waters, or dark valleys with enemies surrounding you?
  • How are you responding in the midst of your situation? Do you fear and panic, or are you standing firm with unwavering hope?
  • What resources do you feel you need for your “path?” Where are you trying to find the resources?
  • Psalm 23 begins with God, ends with God, and God is present throughout the journey. Can you trust God to be your Good Shepherd throughout your journey?
God desires to have a relationship with you! He has given us ways to know Him better through His son, Jesus Christ. Knowing God and having faith in Jesus is a personal and individual decision for each person. Do you have questions about beginning a relationship with God? We would love to talk with you and help you begin or deepen your faith journey.
