Adult Forum with Bishop Lull
 
Sunday, January 13, Adult Forum with Bishop Lull at 9:15 am in the sanctuary. A draft Ministry Site Profile based on congregational feedback has been approved by the Board. Please plan to attend the January 13 meeting with Bishop Lull from the St. Paul Area Synod to review that profile. After this meeting, the Bishop will initiate the Call process through the Synod.  
 
As the work of the Transition Team comes to a close, a separate Call Committee will begin the work of finding our new pastor. Nominations for the Call Committee are underway.    
 
 
OSLC Annual Meeting -- January 20, 2019
 
The OSLC Annual Meeting will take place at 10:30 am on Sunday,
January 20, 2019. Copies of the annual report will be available on Sunday, January 13.
 
Please contact Darla Goble if you can help with supervising children during the Annual Meeting on January 20 from 10:30-11:30 am. 
 
Note: A single worship service will be held on January 20 at
9:30 am.

Mom's Night Out   
 
Mom's Night Out is Thursday, January 17, at 6:00 pm at Stacy Meyer's House. Moms, please contact Darla Goble to get Stacy's address and to RSVP for the evening. Please bring an appetizer or something to share for this fun night of fellowship!
Faith Formation Schedule  
 
Reminder: No Faith Formation on Sunday, January 20 or Wednesday, January 23 for the Martin Lutheran King holiday.
Mission Activate Needs Your Help!   
 
On January 13th, we are going to be delivering Hope Tote's to the Homeless in St.Paul and we need your help with donations. Hope Tote's will consist of a reusable bag filled with different things to help the homeless population survive the winter.
 
 Items needed:
  • Reusable Totes
  • Warm Socks
  • Hats
  • Mittens/Gloves
  • Hand Warmers
  • Scarves
Donations can be put in the Mission Activate bin in the gathering area and will be collected through Sunday, January 13th. Thank you in advance for your generous donations, we greatly appreciate it! 
Camp Wapo    
 
Camp Wapo registration opens on January 15. Students should sign up for the grade they have completed. Please sign up early as spots fill up quickly! OSLC camp dates are:

Girl's Night Out -- Yoga Devotion!
 
Start out the new year with a special time for yourself, and join us for a Girls Time Out event. Come, celebrate the Wonder of Epiphany. Our evening will begin with a conversation about Epiphany, we will continue our evening embodying our faith with chair Yogadevotion as led by Pastor Cindy Senarighi. As we transition to fellowship time and Kings cake, you will receive an Epiphany Star word to contemplate throughout 2019.  
 
Join us Friday, January 11th, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the Gathering Area. Please RSVP to the church office prior to Wednesday, January 9th; or sign up on the posters at church. Cost is $5.00 in advance, if possible.
Guatemala Friends Meeting
 
Interested in learning more about Iglesia Luterana Augustina de Guatemala (ILAG) and accompaniment?  The next Guatemala Friends meeting will be Sunday, January 20 from 4-6 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Roseville (www.lcrelca.org) 3115 Victoria St N, Roseville,   MN 55113.  
 
Come and sample a variety of Guatemalan food (think heavy hors d'oeuvres), learn what our companion relationship with ILAG is all about, hear from a recent delegation, and much more.  Come early (3 pm) to help make tortillas. Contact Becky Maier or Sandy Fabio for more information or to car pool.
