Worship for November 8, 2020
We’ve returned to Zoom worship this week, still grateful for technology, still grateful for one another.

Be safe and at ease, Shadow Rockers. And, stay tuned.
Reflection
“Here I Am” Prayer
  • Resolve to spend 5 minutes or more in prayer.
  • Be comfortably seated and say to yourself, “Here I am, seated, doing nothing.”
  • Notice your body :: where it touches air, where it touches your chair, where it touches the floor. Relax and notice all body sensations.
  • Notice your surroundings without judgment, noting the presence of objects, other people, and animals.
  • Continue to relax and say to yourself, “Here I am, in the presence of Spirit.”

We Covenant One With Another
Adult Spiritual Formation - 10:00 am
In November, we’re talking about creative prayer practices. If you’re thinking, “I'm just don't understand prayer,” you’re in good company! We’ll be gentle with each other and recognize our gifts and our limitations; we’re right where we need to be. Today, our practice is connecting with others.

Your financial support of our community continues to be important and appreciated. The needs of our own congregation and the needs of our beloved neighbors are growing and changing. Our financial officer Heidi has been on vacation this week, but you can re-visit last week's giving update.

Celebrations, Prayer Requests and Pastoral Prayer
We share news of our lives, birthdays, concerns, celebrations, and moments of grace and service.
  • We join the Spencer Family in celebrating Eleanor’s 5th birthday.
  • Shadow Rock friends Judy Schwiebert (Arizona State House) and Jenni Bayardi (Washington Elementary School Board) made successful bids for public office this week. Our values are at work in the world!

Words for Mission ~ Pastor Ken
One: We continue to show up in ways that support our own and others’ flourishing. These are the times.
All: We are the people.
One: All of Creation is blessed.
All: May we love all and serve all.
One: May God be with you.
All: And also with you.
One: Amen.
All: Amen.
