Wednesday Evenings in December
Countering Christmas Creep
Evenings of Comfort and Hope
Soup at 6pm and Worship at 6:30pm

Sometimes Advent and Christmas is all about celebration, feasting with family, brass accompanied “alleluias” with angels and bright lights. Sometimes however, it's very different than that. Perhaps there's been change, struggle, loss or heartbreak. Come Wednesday nights. We’ll push back against the commercialization and superficial shine of the season and remember God's daring grace in coming into our world in the Babe at Bethlehem.

Join in a time of reflection, candlelight, contemplation, Taize styled music and blessings on December 4, 11, and 18. We’ll have the “PrayGround” ready for the little ones.

If you can help with soup one time, please let Deb Squires know, 425.218.1236.
Parents Night Out
Friday, December 6
From 6pm—9pm, this is the Youth’s annual service event to babysit while parents have the opportunity to shop or have a quiet evening.

World Aids Day on December 1st
Communities Make the Difference
This Sunday, December 1st, marks the 31st observance of World AIDS Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and the spread of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

The theme of this year's World AIDS Day is "Communities Make the Difference." It is important to recognize the essential role that communities have played and continue to play in the AIDS response at the international, national, and local levels.

39 million people worldwide have lost their lives to the AIDS pandemic, and over 36 million more currently live with HIV. Improved access to antiretroviral drug treatment in the developed world has allowed millions to live relatively normal lives despite having AIDS, but the cost of lifetime treatment is estimated at over $600,000.
AIDS continues to kill two million people each year, of which 270,000 are children. 70% of new HIV infections are in Sub-Saharan Africa, making it the most serious public health crisis in that part of the world.
To complement the global 2019 World AIDS Day campaign, the World Health Organization highlights the need for all 36 million people living with HIV and those vulnerable and affected by the pandemic to reach the goal of universal health coverage.

Join Austen Hartke, author of "Transforming: The Bible and the Lives of Transgender Christians" for an afternoon of conversation and learning.

Do you have questions about how churches can be more affirming of LGBTQ+ people? Are you not sure who's included in that long list of letters? Ever wondered about what the Bible says about gender diversity, or how it's possible to be a transgender person of faith?

Bring a friend, bring your curiosity and your courage, and let's talk about how to love all our siblings in Christ.

This is a free workshop event hosted by Immanuel Lutheran Church. All are welcome. Fore more information, click on the photo above.

Need Help with Wheelchair, Walkers and Scooters?
  • Look for the designated spaces reserved for wheelchairs and scooters on the level floor along the stained-glass walls.
  • We can bring Holy Communion to you if you'd rather not navigate the aisle.
  • We can help fold and park walkers between the pews and keep the aisles clear.

We want to make sure EveryOne can participate, feel included, see the screen, enjoy the company of family and friends in worship. The ushers can help guide you to these areas.
EveryOne is Welcome
Our Savior's is a Welcoming Community. We affirm with the apostle Paul that in Christ "there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female" -Galatians 3:28. Christ has made us one. We are committed to extending this welcome to EveryOne without regard to gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, socio-economic status, disability, political association, marital status, education or ethnic origin. God's reconciling love in Christ is at work in EveryOne.
