Worship at Joy Reigns Christmas Eve: Some Additional Covid Protocols and Worship Boxes
Hope. And specifically the hope of Christmas is what we all need now more than ever. The Worship Team and Church Council have been carefully looking at rising COVID numbers and have determined that at this point in the pandemic the hospitalization capacity rate is the vital statistic to be keeping our attention. We are currently in the critical stage but below capacity for local hospitals and therefore will continue with in-person worship.
Recently County Executive Pittman strengthened his language concerning businesses and masking. We will continue with our masking requirements we have had for all attending worship.
We will also continue with communion during in-person worship by bringing it to seated individuals, therefore limiting the number of people moving in the worship space. We invite those of you who are worshiping live online to provide your own communion elements (bread and wine/juice).
We will continue with keeping the nursery, prayground and indoor hospitality area closed.
We will be adding a COVID appropriate solution to extinguishing the candles after singing Silent Night by providing personal snuffers for each person’s use.
The sudden spike in COVID numbers in the area may be giving you new pause to worship in-person, and therefore Joy Reigns wants to offer an additional opportunity to have a worship box delivered to you if you live locally. Please prayerfully consider your attendance at in-person worship in light of the rising COVID numbers. If you would now like a worship box there is a new deadline of Thursday 12/23 at NOON. Joy Reigns will have live-streamed worship at both 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm for Christmas Eve. Please join online on YouTube or in-person as you determine best for you. If you are not feeling well on Christmas Eve we ask that you join for online worship.
