What's Happening at Immanuel...

Rally Day - Sunday, September 13

We celebrate fall with a Love Feast on Rally Day, September 13! Please bring finger foods to share during worship. As we hear God’s word of love we share in community with one another as we share food during worship. We will also be collecting appropriate books to add to the Lending Library reserves. Please ONE BOOK PER HOUSEHOLD ONLY and on this day only. Mark your calendars for this wonderful Immanuel tradition and our celebration of reading in our community!!

The Bishop is Coming!

Bishop Lee Miller III will worship with us and bring us the sermon Sunday, September 20! Following worship he will share with us news from the Upstate New York Synod and the ELCA, as well as answer any questions we may have. Plan to be here for this special time together!

School Kit Time!!!

Immanuel's ingathering for school kits will go to the Rochester City Schools. We will be collecting until September 11 to take advantage of the back-to-school sales which have already begun! Please put your donations in the box in the lower hallway. Thank you!

We will be collecting:

• 70-page notebooks, wide or college-rule

• unsharpened pencils with erasers

• ball point pens, blue or black ink

• pencil sharpeners

• 2 ½ inch erasers (the pink ones are good)

• blunt scissors

• 30 cm ruler (most 12" rulers are also metric)

• crayons - 16 or 24 count

• Glue or glue stick 

Bible Study Takes a Break in August

Wednesday morning Bible Study is taking a break for the month of August. We’ve begun our dive into the book of Acts, a wonderful exciting adventure of the beginnings of the Church, and will return on Wednesday, September 9 at 9. Bring your bible, your questions, and a sense of humor! We meet at Panera Bread on Holt Road.
