Worship Sunday, October 4th

Sunday: The scripture readings for Sunday, October 11, are Genesis 28:10-19a; Psalm 139:1-12, 23-24; Romans 8:12-25 and Matthew 13:24-33, 44-52. Sunday's message, "The Kingdom of Heaven is Like..." will be on the passage from Matthew. Sunday is a contemporary service.

Questions to help you prepare: Is there one Kingdom Parable that stands out for you more than the others? Why? How are these parables the same? How are they different? What do they teach us about our call to discipleship?

We invite you join us Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in the Friendship Center. Our current study is Adam Hamilton's book Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times.

In this study based on his book Unafraid, Adam Hamilton explores the most common worries and fears experienced by Americans today. He considers practical steps for overcoming these fears, and reflects upon fear in the light of Scripture and a faith that promises again and again that we don't need to live in fear. We can live with courage and hope.
