I hope this email finds you well as June begins.
These newsletters are more musical comedy and drama then Shakespearian, but I enjoy getting them out, and anyone who knows me knows I rarely stop speaking but I'm having a tough time finding any words today. We're living through what seems to be a snowballing health, economic, safety, and justice crisis that feels like it is turning into an avalanche.
I join those who have related Samuel Beckett's "Worstward Ho" to our current situation.
To reinforce its resonance, I say:
"All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."
Since giving up is not an option, it is all we can do.
