State Chamber Update
Wow! The month of January flew by! During this month we hosted our 183 rd Annual Dinner, a networking breakfast, the General Assembly returned to work and the Governor’s State of the State address is in the books.

Going forward, here are a few events happening in the next couple of weeks:
  • On February 6, we’ll be treated to the stories related to the career and leadership journey of 'Delaware's Eyewitness,' John Riley.
  • On February 14 (Valentines Day!) the Joint Military Affairs Committee (JMAC), will host the annual State of the Guard event, which will include exclusive demonstrations by Airmen of the 166th Airlift Wing and a tour of a C-130H aircraft.
  • We wrap up a busy month with a free networking breakfast on February 25 at Delaware Council on Gambling Problems.
  • Looking into March, we have our annual Spring Legislative Brunch & Manufacturing Conference on March 19. This year's headline speaker will be from the Port of Wilmington, Eric Casey, CEO of GT USA Wilmington (Gulftainer), who will outline the progress they have made and the plans they are making!
December figures for new home sales are out today, while the Case-Schiller home price data for November is released on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will host an afternoon press conference. We end the week on Friday with personal income and consumer spending data for December.
