Thank you to all those parishioners who have generously signed up to make a difference during our Hypothermia Prevention Shelter from Sunday, February 23 to Sunday, March 1. In partnership with FACETS, our Ministry Center will host 30+ guests who live and work without a home.
We still need volunteers and donations of supplies and funds to support our guests:
- Sign up online HERE to volunteer (make a meal, serve meals and greet guests, drive the FACETS van, etc.)
- Let’s provide our guests with travel-size personal supplies such as toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, lotion, hand sanitizer, and combs/brushes AND adult winter clothing such as gently used adult sized coats, scarves, mittens, gloves, hats, and socks. Our 5th and 6th Grade Faith in Action Sunday School class has set up a collection bin is in the narthex. Those young parishioners are leading way! Questions? Contact Alex Graham or Susan McGuire or check out the flyer HERE.
- A $20 donation from each family or individual in our parish is needed to help guests with Metro Smart Trip cards, fuel cards, and take-away lunches for the seven days while they are in our care. Many may not realize that several of our guests are employed and need help getting to their jobs. Donate $20 online today HERE. Select "Hypothermia Shelter."
