Christina Brown, MHA joins us as the new Program Director for Durango Derailers! She has been a dedicated volunteer with Durango Derailers for more than 15 years. A Colorado native who has called Durango home for nearly 30 years, Christina is a mother of two, one of whom has multiple medical complexities—an experience that has deeply shaped her compassion for children and families navigating complex healthcare journeys.
In her free time, Christina and her family enjoy the outdoors, including camping, fishing, off-roading, and stargazing.
Christina is an experienced healthcare administrator with a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, with a focus on communication and collaboration. She is currently nearing completion of her doctoral dissertation and will soon earn her Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. In her role as DDPAF Program Director, Christina brings a strong commitment to building effective teams, streamlining processes, and fostering meaningful partnerships that enhance care delivery. Her lived experience provides a unique and empathetic understanding of the challenges families face and fuels her passion for bridging gaps in healthcare access across Southwest Colorado.
