Carolyn Donaldson is our Volunteer of the Year!
The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts' Volunteer of the Year Award is named after Brian Ebright, our first intern, a Penn State student who was killed in an auto accident while driving to a job interview shortly after his internship ended. The award recognizes both hard work and joie de vivre. Our 2022 winner has oodles of both.
The festival staff wonders if she ever sleeps. If there’s an event in town, she’s there. And she’s not just there as a lady who lunches, smiling for the camera trying to be a bold faced name. She really pitches in and works. In addition to serving on the festival’s board, she helped out at Children and Youth Day, worked as a Sidewalk Sale ambassador, filled in on the trash crew, introduced performers, and after doing all of that, she had the unenviable task of shutting down the bar at our benefit party. And she was perennially cheerful during all of this. How does she do it? we have no idea! Ladies and gentlemen... Carolyn Donaldson.

Thank you Penn State Health
Penn State Health was proud to sponsor this year’s Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts Children and Youth Day on Wednesday, July 13th. It was a wonderful opportunity for our staff to meet you, and interact with your children. We certainly enjoyed the various activities we had planned for the day at Sydney Friedman Park, and we’re thrilled with the turn-out we received with the get-well cards your families created for the kids at the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. We received over 243 finished cards, and we can’t thank you enough for your heartwarming messages and beautiful designs. We can’t wait to deliver them to the children!
Our children are the future, and that’s why taking care of their health is so important to all of us. Our pediatric cardiology, dermatology, orthopaedic, and surgical specialists provide state-of-the-art care at convenient State College locations. You don’t have to be affiliated with Penn State to receive care from Penn State Health!
Penn State Health uniquely combines the expertise and research of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State College of Medicine to offer comprehensive, personalized care to all Central Pennsylvania residents. Our Primary and Specialty Care providers treat patients of all ages and are accepting new patients. Call 814-235-2480 to schedule your annual check-up or school physicals.

Our sponsors are integral partners in producing the Central Pennsylvania Festival Arts. Collectively they contribute nearly $150,000 to the Arts Festival's budget plus a whole lot more in in-kind services. We would like to acknowledge all of our amazing sponsors, big and small!
Community philanthropy is also at the very heart of this organization. Friends and fans of the Arts Festival contribute another $80,000 to make this event a reality.
Plus, nearly 600 volunteers work alongside our 3 staff to get it all done. We can't thank them enough for the energy and enthusiasm! Our core team of volunteers lead critical components of the Festival with dedication and a ton of institutional knowledge. Our volunteers rock!
