WriteAway: in full swing this fall.
WriteAway opened its doors again this fall on September 16th, and is currently in full swing with six participating institutions (Camosun College, College of the Rockies, Douglas College, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Simon Fraser University, and University of British Columbia).
In its first six weeks of service this fall, WriteAway has received
11 eQuestions (short writing-related queries) and a whopping
375 writing submissions. Student feedback on the service has been overwhelmingly positive. A sample comment from a student: "[WriteAway has] pushed me to develop my writing further and more in depth."
The newly-formed WriteAway Advisory Committee will be meeting this fall to discuss
policy, planning, and operations. The WriteAway Advisory Committee reports to the
BC eTutoring Concept Committee, which exists to guide the development of collaborative online tutoring services within British Columbia's post-secondary sector.
