December's Tip

Create Engagement with Social Media

With enhanced visibility, more students can access writing support when and where they need it.

Social media can be a great way to get the word out about writing support services, but how do we know if students are actually seeing the posts? And if they are seeing the posts, how do we know if they're acting on what they see?

Ask students to share their experience

Take advantage of the different features that social media platforms offer to encourage students to share their thoughts and input on using WriteAway for online writing support

  • Request comments
  • Use the 'like' and 'share' options
  • Create a poll

The questions can be as simple as "Have you tried WriteAway yet?" or something more complex: "What new writing skill did you learn from the feedback you received from WriteAway?"

With the Fall 2022 semester coming to a close, now is the perfect time to use the new Winter-themed social media content and ask students "Have you submitted your final papers to WriteAway for feedback yet?"
