October's Tip

Use Social Media to Spread the Word about WriteAway

With enhanced visibility, more students can access writing support when and where they need it.

Social Media can be used to

  • share service opening and closing dates
  • remind students to submit their work in advance of midterm deadlines
  • let students know that WriteAway will provide support on 3 drafts of the same assignment
  • bring awareness of this FREE writing support service

Worried About the Time Commitment?

Creating content for social media can sometimes feel like a daunting task, especially with the need to stay current and fresh, while also being consistent.

Fortunately, the WriteAway Admin Centre has put together a selection of social media content for coordinators to use throughout the semester, as well as an info sheet to share with your institution’s communications team.

With images formatted for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, coordinators are able to spread the word about WriteAway across multiple social media platforms.

Social media content with seasonal themes, used along with the evergreen options, can increase visibility, enhance audience engagement, and promote student interaction with WriteAway.

Try It Out, See What Works

Social media messaging moves quickly and it's a challenge to get students' attention with so much other content to compete with. Try posting at different times of the day, on different social media sites. And don't be afraid to re-post to catch folks who haven't seen your earlier messages!
