WriterCoach Connection is expanding in West County!
See how you can make a big difference in a student's life
WriterCoach Connection (WCC), an award-winning volunteer mentoring program, is launching at Lovonya DeJean Middle School in Richmond. It needs volunteers to help students!

As a WriterCoach Connection volunteer, you can coach students one-on-one in English classes, helping them with writing assignments. Working with mentors, students hone their ability to write clearly, build ideas, and think critically, all providing a solid foundation for college and workforce excellence.

The volunteer coaches gain insights into classrooms and assignments, get valuable training and enjoy the satisfaction of helping young people succeed. All for just a couple of hours per week!

Interested volunteers may attend an upcoming training in Richmond on Sept. 9, 13, 16 or 20th. Full schedule here.

WriterCoach Connection is now at five schools in Richmond and El Cerrito. Register to become a volunteer coach today! For more info, contact June Pangelinan at june@writercoachconnection.org or 510.685.7054.
Sincerely,
John
