2024 Excellence in Telehealth Award

The annual Dr. James Bush Award for Excellence in Telehealth was established in 2022 to recognize a telehealth champion in Wyoming that has accomplished outstanding work in the field of telehealth, including helping to remove barriers to implementation and adoption, innovative programs and activities, technology, patient and/or provider support, education, and training. Last year's award recipient was our very own, Dr. Lisa Finkelstein! Read more about what the four different agencies and state-wide telehealth champions that nominated her had to say, all attesting to her commitment to telehealth.

 

The Wyoming Telehealth Consortium is currently accepting telehealth champion nominations for this year's Excellence in Telehealth Award!

Telehealth Awareness Call to Action!

The American Telemedicine Association’s (ATA) 4th annual Telehealth Awareness Week (TAW), taking place September 15-21, 2024, will showcase the many ways virtual care improves access to quality healthcare services for all communities. 

Use the resources available in the American Telemedicine Association's online toolkit to show your support for Telehealth Awareness Week leading up to and during the event, and be sure to include the official hashtag – #TelehealthIsHealth – in all your posts to take part in the online conversation!

Help Shape Maternal and Child Health Priorities

The Wyoming Department of Health invites community representatives and family members from across the state to participate in focus groups and surveys that will inform priorities and a state action plan for its Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Unit. By sharing your voice, you can help support the health and well-being of Wyoming's mothers, children, and families.


Wyoming parents, caregivers, and youth with parent/guardian consent are eligible to participate in a survey or focus group in the following areas:

  • Access to Medical Homes
  • Postpartum Medical Care
  • Safe Sleep for Infants
  • Child Health Potential Priorities
  • Youth Mental Health


Qualified participants are eligible for a gift card ranging from $60 - $200.


Surveys and focus groups will be held during the months of August and September with limited space. Surveys are available in Spanish and ASL and Spanish interpretation are available for focus groups. Please visit the website below for more information.

Wyoming Telehealth Consortium

The Wyoming Telehealth Consortium (WTC) is the central meeting space to discuss the programs, success/challenges, and discuss ideas on improving the use of telehealth in the state. The Consortium usually meets on the last Tuesday of every month.
