As many of you would have noticed, no e-newsletter was sent last week.  Our computer issues have been resolved.  Therefore, I am sending you last week's newsletter to keep you informed on local events.

Grants Closed
I regret to advise that the Wynnum Manly Ward Suburban Initiative Grants Fund has been exhausted.

All funds have been allocated before the end of September.
Apologies to any group who missed out.

There are plenty of other grants that groups can apply for and we can give some advise and supply materials on them should you need assistance.

Congratulations to all the groups who were successful with their applications.

On the 5 October 2011, Jeremy began a challenge that was of his own design, a journey that was many years in the planning; a 2 ½ year, 51,916km unsupported bicycle ride from London to New Zealand. At the conclusion of this phenomenal journey, Jeremy wrote the highly successful book The Long Road from a Broken Heart.
