I'm not sure how I ever missed
ever hearing about this episode
from a spin-off of the popular
TV series, 'The X-Files,' called
'The Lone Gunmen.'
The Lone Gunmen are a trio of
fictional characters, who appeared
in recurring roles on 'The X-Files',
and who starred in the short-lived
spin-off, 'The Lone Gunmen',
which premiered in March 2001.
An extraordinarily interesting feature
of this pilot episode is that an airliner
has been hijacked (via remote control
of the plane's autopilot) and, by the
end, the lead characters, who'd
boarded the plane to try to stop the
hijacking plot, which they'd uncovered
succeed in regaining control of the
plane and just miss crashing into the
World Trade Center.
This show was aired 6 months before
the actual events of 9/11.
Similar to theories posited about the
events of 9/11, the episode's plot
indicates that the hijacking was
committed as an act of greed by an
American arms manufacturer, to
ultimately increase its weapons sales
by invoking US retaliation against a
scapegoated, anti-American,
extremist dictator.
This show is obviously not "proof," in
any way of a 9/11 conspiracy.
