Ventura lands X Games California 2023!

Fans will gather at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, July 21 - July 23, to watch more than 150 Skateboard, BMX, and Moto X athletes compete at the X Games. The weekend will also feature an interactive festival and live music over the course of three days.  

“Ventura offers the ultimate playground for extreme sports enthusiasts. We look forward to welcoming thousands of athletes and fans to our community and showing the world all the unforgettable things Ventura has to offer," said Mayor Joe Schroeder.

Providing a sustainable way to travel to the X Games is a priority for event organizers, who are working with partners like Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to provide additional train trips. More is in the works and will be announced soon!

You're invited to the 2023 State of the City Address

The community is invited to join Mayor Joe Schroeder for the 2023 State of the City Address at two events hosted on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Learn more and register at cityofventura.ca.gov/SOTC.

There are two opportunities to attend. The first presentation is a ticketed event hosted by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Ventura.

The second presentation is FREE, open to the public, and will be hosted from 6– 7:30 p.m. at the Museum of Ventura County. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited, so RSVP today!

The Museum event will be live-streamed on the City's YouTube channel. Spanish interpretation will also be provided during the event.

Special Event Grant Program applications are now open! Annually, $10,000 is awarded to champion community celebrations that attract residents and visitors, strengthen Ventura’s cultural identity and economic vitality, and promote entrepreneurial spirit.
