Maple Syrup Sales Help Fight Hunger

Stock up on Heiberg Maple Syrup from the ESF College Bookstore this month, and together we’ll help fight hunger. A portion of each bottle’s proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of CNY, supporting families in the Syracuse community.

Beat the holiday rush! Get your Heiberg syrup now and make a sweet difference.

Share Your Spare Gift Wrap

Instead of buying new wrapping materials for the holidays, join the Office of Sustainability and the Sustainability Ambassadors in their Second Annual Gift Wrap Swap!

Bring unused or gently used gift wrap, gift bags, tissue paper, ribbons, bows, or cards to the Office of Sustainability, 123 Bray Hall, for the December swap. If you don’t have these items and are in need, be sure to come to the swap and see what you can use.

Did you know? Yearly, approximately 8,000 tons of wrapping paper (the equivalent of about 50,000 trees) is used to wrap gifts. Even worse, most commercial wrapping paper, gift bags, and cards are not recyclable because they are often coated in plastic or glitter.

Feedback: SUNY Climate & Sustainability Action Plan

SUNY’s draft Climate and Sustainability Action Plan is online and available for feedback. The plan is intended to provide a comprehensive response to the climate crisis from the SUNY system across education, research, facilities, and operations. The feedback form is live until the end of November, and all are encouraged to share their reflections. There are two sections: general comments and specifics. Answer any questions you have time for; even one response is helpful.
