The XCP Mothers' Guild Gazette
A Mothers' Guild Newsletter
February 17, 2020

I've come to appreciate the word SIMPLE.  Some people might say being "simple" or something that is "simple" is a negative.  I believe the opposite.  I think simple means pure, genuine, straightforward, humble, and true to ones self, and these are all positives in my eyes.  We all should strive to be more simple and simply LIVE.  There are many opportunities in our lives for us to be complicated, dramatic, gossipy, mean-spirited, critical of ourselves and pressured.  Let's all take a deep breath and realize we can live our lives more simply.  Stop and think about what makes your life complicated and can you simplify it?  Can you laugh a little more often, stop and smell the flowers, take a picture of the sunset or laugh and cry with friends?  Life is precious and we need to appreciate the SIMPLE things is life.

  1. easily understood or done; presenting no difficulty.
    "a simple solution"

  2. plain, basic, or uncomplicated in form, nature, or design; without much decoration or ornamentation.

Hug your loved ones,
Emily Calihan
Mothers' Guild President 2019-2020
