The XCP Mothers' Guild Gazette
A Mothers' Guild Newsletter
February 2, 2020

Now that we are one month into the new year, we all have likely reevaluated our new year's resolutions and our goals for 2020.  Think about how much discipline you have put into those goals. Someone reminded me that the practice of discipline does not have to be a negative.  Discipline can mean you have self-control.  As our gators embark on their final semester of the school year, what discipline are they practicing.  Is it making a point to study for a certain period of time daily, it is committed to improving their mental self, is it not posting a compromising picture of a friend on social media, or is it putting in the extra hours to increase those standardized test scores?  Xavier teaches our kids to have discipline.  What discipline do you have in your life and how can we teach our children discipline?

Learn to pronounce
the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.

Mothers' Guild President 2019-2020

Coming Soon: Project Loaves and Fishes
Each year during Lent the Xavier Moms join the faculty, staff, and administration in a school-wide giving event to benefit our most needy students and their families. Through donations of food items and money, we help put together 12 abundant Easter baskets for our most needy families.
At our February 4th and March 3rd meetings, we will be collecting monetary donations in support of this most worthy Xavier Lenten giving opportunity.
