Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Come let us celebrate the birth of the Virgin Mary;
let us worship her Son, Christ the Lord.
Weekly Mass
Mass is generally celebrated 9:30am on Tuesdays at Xavier Middle School. At this time, we invite parents, grandparents, relatives and friends of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Schools to join us via livestream. Go to the XMS Campus Ministry webpage for the link: Campus Ministry - XMS.

Low gluten hosts are available. If your child has a need for a low gluten host and plans to receive Eucharist at our school masses, please inform your child’s advisor or contact Mrs. Krull at akrull@xaviercatholicschools.org.
Safety Practice Drills
On Monday, Sept 13th, XMS will be conducting safety practice drills in the morning. These drills will allow our students and staff to continue the safety and security conversations that took place at the beginning of the school year about the importance of understanding what to do during a situation that may take place at school. If any parent is curious about these safety practice drills, please feel free to contact Mr. Bires at any time for examples or with any questions regarding the safety and security policies that are currently in place.

Students will be notified by Mr. Bires during the Monday morning Spirit assembly in the auditorium. During this time, the students will hear from Mr. Bires about the safety practice drills and will also be introduced to Sgt. Greg Vanderheiden. Sgt. Vanderheiden is an Appleton police officer and is the primary School Resource Officer (SRO) for XMS. This also might be a great opportunity for you and your family to talk about safety procedures not only at school, but outside of school as well. As always, please feel free to contact XMS with any questions, comments, or other thoughts at any time.
Masks
Parents, we are asking students to wear their masks properly by covering their mouth and nose while in school and could use your help by giving your child(ren) a friendly reminder regarding these expectations. We have been giving many students friendly reminders about wearing their masks properly during the first few days of school. Going forward, students who regularly don’t wear their mask properly will receive an honor mark. Three or more honors marks will result in a reflection room visit during lunch & flex. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Bires or Mrs. Meyer at any time.

Celebrate Volunteer Meeting: Thursday, September 16th at noon in the XHS Library
Celebrate is the largest, single event fundraiser for Xavier Catholic Schools. All parents/guardians are invited (and encouraged) to volunteer as this event is a system-wide effort benefiting the entire school system. It is also a great way to get to know parents from other campuses. The evening typically features a dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles and games, entertainment, etc. Last year it was a successful virtual event that raised over $560,000. This year we are planning a hybrid experience.

Celebrate meetings are held once a month. This year’s kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday, September 16 at noon at in the library Xavier High School (we will have people there giving directions to the library). At that meeting we will discuss the optimal meeting dates and times moving forward.

Please plan to join us to brainstorm and have some fun while we come together, catch up, and meet new friends. It takes many helping hands to make Celebrate a successful event and we really need great volunteers who want to have fun while getting things done. The meetings are also a great way to provide input and suggest any ideas you have. Children not in school yet are always welcome.
Bonus: there is always chocolate!

Questions or can’t attend, but still want to be involved? Contact Lisa Pfaff at lpfaff@XavierCatholicSchools.org or 735-9380.
School Directory
The school directory will be underway in the next couple of weeks. For each student we will include their name and grade, their parents’ names and email address(es), home address and home phone. If you do not want to be included in the directory, or want to include/leave out specific information, please email Mrs. Cerdan at vcerdan@xaviercatholicschools.org by Monday, September 13th. Thank you.
