Catholic Schools Week
Thank you for the gift of Catholic Schools. As we celebrate this week, help us to be always aware of the blessing of our community and the chance for each of us to be a part of it. Catholic Schools Week January 29 - February 4, 2023

Catholic Schools Week Dress Up Days:
- Thursday - Super Hero or Role Model Day
- Friday - Neon Day and Wacky Hair Day
There are several large events that will take place in our XMS auditorium. Our school-wide Spelling Bee will take place today, Wednesday at 1:00 pm and our Winter Talent Show will take place on Thursday beginning at 9:30 am. 2nd Quarter Parent Teacher Conferences
Conferences for Xavier Middle School will be Wednesday, February 8th from 4:30 until 7:30 pm and Thursday, February, 9th from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. A full day of classes will be held on Wednesday, February 8th. There will be no classes on Thursday, February 9th or Friday, February 10th.
All teachers will be located in the gym and be grouped primarily by grade. Our guidance and learning services personnel will be located in the library. Please click here for a list of times for part-time and specialty teachers.

Lost and Found
Please click here to take a look at the Lost and Found items we have collected to see if any belong to your family. Your child can pick their things up from the office lobby. All lost and found items will be donated after February 27th!

Conference Honors Band
Congratulations to the following 7th & 8th grade students who were accepted into the Conference Honors Band! They spent Saturday, January 28th working with a master clinician and students/teachers from other conference schools. They also performed a concert in Little Chute that afternoon. Great job!

Orchestra News
The 7th, 8th grade and high school orchestras will be having their Winter Concert on Wednesday, February 1st at Xavier High School. The concert will feature music from movies, broadway shows and more! Come hear all the hard work the 7th, 8th and high school students have been doing learning a lot of challenging music.
Here are the concert details:

XMS Ski and Snowboard Club
The next ski trip of the season is this Friday, February 9th to Granite Peak. Students that are interested in going on this trip, please turn in the following forms and fees by TOMMOROW, Thursday, February 2nd (this is a strict deadline set by the hill so we won’t be able to accept forms after 2/2):
Permission Slip and Sign Up Form also available in the school office.

City of Appleton Sidewalk Poetry Contest
The City of Appleton announces its Sidewalk Poetry Contest. Write a poem, not more than 10 lines, about any topic. Judges will choose 5 poems to be stamped into concrete around the city of Appleton. This is open to anyone who lives or attends school within the city. Contact Ms. Bouchard for more information. Due date is February 10th.

Celebrate is THIS Saturday!
Only a few days to go until Xavier’s largest single-event fundraiser. Whether you will be joining us in-person or logging into the event software to bid/donate from anywhere, please read on for information for all to join in/support Xavier Catholic Schools:

Online Bidding: Bidding has begun! Anyone can bid from anywhere. All it takes is a quick, FREE registration (it is free to browse, but a credit card is required to place a bid).

Click here to go to the Celebrate GiveSmart website. Once there, click on the “Items” tab, which will allow you to view the auction items.
- If you are not attending, but would like to bid, click on an item which will prompt you to create an account and register a credit card to begin bidding.
- If you are attending, you should have received a welcome text and/or email with a link. Once you have confirmed via the link & registered a credit card, you may begin bidding.

Staff Donations! Our amazing faculty and staff have donated some wonderful items and experiences to our auction. Click here to see the list by campus or you can go directly to our GiveSmart bidding software, click on “Items” and then choose the “School Donation” category.

Volunteers NEEDED! We need about 100 volunteers the weekend of Celebrate. Students have filled their student volunteer spots, but we still need many adult volunteers to help that evening. Go to the SignUpGenius for more information and to sign up.

Note to in-person attendees: to streamline your check-in experience, make sure you accept your texted/emailed ticket, confirm your information, and register a credit card for the evening right from your phone before you arrive. If you have done that, all you need to do is pick up your program once you arrive!

Fox Cities Chamber's Excellence in Education Shining Star Awards
The Fox Cities Chamber is proud to present the fourth annual Excellence in Education Shining Star Awards and we need your nominations to shine a bright light on the sacrifices and successes that are happening in Xavier and our region. 2023 Baseball Registration is now open!
Grand Chute Baseball provides a competitive level of baseball while maintaining our commitment to teach baseball fundamentals, sportsmanship and teamwork in a friendly environment.
When: January 1 – March 31
Who: Co-ed; ages 5-12yrs old
What: T-Ball (ages 5-6), Rookie-Machine Pitch (ages 7-8), Kid-pitch-Minors 46/60 (ages 9-10), and Majors 50/65 (ages 11-12)
Where: Online registration at www.grandchutebaseball.com Click the register tab and follow the directions. NO RESIDENCY RESTRICTIONS
Season dates: May 31st – July 27th @ Plamann Park and Patriot Park
