National Vocations Awareness Week

God our Father, we thank you for calling men and women to serve in your Son’s Kingdom as priests, deacons, and consecrated persons. Send your Holy Spirit to help others to respond generously and courageously to your call. May our community of faith support vocations of sacrificial love in our youth and young adults. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen

Veterans' Welcome

Today was a very special day as we welcomed veterans from our community! We held an assembly where we learned about each branch of the military and were introduced to these wonderful veterans. We also watched a demonstration of the folding of the American flag and learned the significance of each fold. The veterans then had an opportunity to talk with our 7th graders and share their stories and love of country. Thank you, Miss Hensley, for organizing this important event. Happy Veterans Day to all who served our country!

Old Glory Honor Flight

There will be a homecoming celebration for Vietnam veterans today, Wednesday, November 9th at the Appleton Airport. Please join us for this very special event to welcome home our local heroes! Veterans made a day trip to Washington DC and there will be a parade for them when they return. The public can begin arriving around 7:30 PM with an anticipated arrival time of 8:30 PM for the veterans. Wear your patriotic clothing, visit the Old Glory Honor Flight volunteers at the merchandise booth, listen to the band and meet other Honor Flight families. It's an experience you will never forget! Hawk Night!

We had so much fun at Hawk Night!

The 5th and 6th graders had a great time in the gym and at the dance. They finished off all of the pizza, too! We look forward to planning another one for them in the future. For now, we are excited for next Friday, November 18th when our 7th and 8th graders get to have fun.

Program with Fr. Girotti

It is increasingly difficult these days to not despair about the state of the world. As trends in juvenile addiction, violence and suicide skyrocket, an “epidemic of hopelessness”, as it’s described by some health officials, strikes families particularly hard. Fr. John Girotti wants to assure families that God has not abandoned them. He always provides hope if we know, not where, but to whom we should look. The whom will be the focus of his talk, “Finding HOPE in a Hopeless World - the Holy Family, our Light in the Darkness”, at 7:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, in Xavier’s Fine Arts Theatre. The event is free and open to the public. Please click here for more information.
