Lenten Food Drive
While all items are welcome and we encourage low salt, gluten free, sugar free, etc. we have assigned the following:
- 5th - canned tuna/fish/hearty soups
- 6th - pasta/pasta sauce
- 7th - peanut butter/jelly
- 8th - birthday bag supplies - cake mixes, frosting, candles, plates, napkins
Please no expired foods, perishable items or glass containers. Thank you!

Spring Sports Sign Up
It is that time of year to start looking to spring sports. We would like to find out if your student(s) is interested in participating this spring season. This will help us plan and get the names of the students to the coaches. Please sign your student(s) up even if they are unsure if they want to participate so that we can make sure you get all the information should they decide to fully commit.
We are also looking for parents to help coach our spring sports. Please consider coaching and helping out your awesome students pursue their passion for sports.

Solo & Ensemble
The XMS Solo & Ensemble Music Festival will take place on MONDAY, MARCH 20th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Orchestra students will be playing for judges from the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra. Please sign up for a performance time at this link: SignupGenius and email Mrs. Koenigs or Mrs. Kenney with questions.
Does your child take outside-of-school piano lessons? Piano students may take advantage of the opportunity to play for a piano judge. Email Ms. Dodd for a performance time. Please include your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of time frame. Times are assigned first-come, first served. Additional information is available at this LINK.

Lost and Found

The American Legion's Americanism Essay, "What Does Patriotism Mean to Me?” - due Tuesday 3/14

The National Chapter of the Catholic Daughters Scholarship Essay Contest, which is open to all 8th grade students enrolling in a Catholic high school. The essay should be titled, "Be on Your Guard, Stand Firm in the Faith, Be Courageous, Be Strong. 1st prize is $1000 toward your tuition! - due Monday 3/20

The Local Chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Scholarship Essay Contest is open only to 8th Grade girls applying to a Catholic High School. Your essay is titled, "What Does a Catholic Education Mean to Me?" - due March 31st.

The 27th Annual National Student Poetry Contest is underway, and you can participate by writing a poem, any style or any topic, 20 lines or less. Top prize is $500, plus there are other prizes just for entering, including a laptop, a tablet, wireless headphones, and Amazon gift cards. There are even prizes for the school with the most student entries. Some suggested topics are: Pride in America, friendship, nature, dreams and aspirations, really anything that inspires you. There are prizes for early entries, too, so don't delay! Final deadline is April 23rd.

Xavier Middle School VEX IQ Robotics Camp 2023
Xavier Middle School Robotics Club is hosting a robotics camp again this year.

Dates: June 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th

Time: 9:00am –2:00pm.
- Students entering 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the 2023-24 school year may participate.

Fee: $225 per student (The camp fee will be collected through Blackbaud Tuition)
There will be a snack break, lunch, and outside time incorporated into the day's activities. Students must provide their own snacks and lunch. If you are interested in attending, please fill out the VEX IQ Camp Interest Form

St. Thomas More Parish Fish Fry
Please join us for dine in or carry out on March 3, 17 and 31. We serve from 5:00 - 7:00. Menu includes: Haddock - baked or fried ($15), Shrimp ($15), Perch ($19), Mac & Cheese ($7) or Loaded Baked Potato ($7). All are welcome!

WIAA Boys’ Basketball Playoffs
The WIAA Boys' Basketball Playoffs start next week!! Come out and cheer on your 2023 Bay Conference Champions--our Xavier Hawks Boys' Basketball Team! They play Friday, March 3rd, at 7pm in Torchy!! Admission is $6 for all. We need your support!!
