Weekly Mass
Mass is generally celebrated 9:30am on Tuesdays at Xavier Middle School. At this time, we invite parents, grandparents, relatives and friends of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Schools to join us via livestream. Go to the XMS Campus Ministry webpage for the link: Campus Ministry - XMS.

Low gluten hosts are available. If your child has a need for a low gluten host and plans to receive Eucharist at our school masses, please inform your child’s advisor or contact Mrs. Krull at akrull@xaviercatholicschools.org.
Masks
Parents, we are asking students to wear their masks properly by covering their mouth and nose while in school and could use your help by giving your child(ren) a friendly reminder regarding these expectations. We have been giving many students friendly reminders about wearing their masks properly during the first few days of school. Going forward, students who regularly don’t wear their mask properly will receive an honor mark. Three or more honors marks will result in a reflection room visit during lunch & flex. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Bires or Mrs. Meyer at any time.
Xavier Spirit Day - Friday, September 3rd
Mr. Riley, Dr. Ravizza and our campus principals want to recognize the cooperation of our students & staff in making this a great start to the new school year. Therefore, we are declaring a System-wide Xavier Spirit Day this Friday, September 3rd. This will be a casual day and we are encouraging students to dress in their favorite Xavier spirit wear.  Please remind your child to follow the casual day dress code guidelines in the handbook. Go Hawks!
Online Fall Apparel Sale
The online Fall Xavier Apparel store is now open! This sale is only available until September, 12th. Please click here to shop.
A Few Reminders
  • When busses are parked in front of the school, please do not enter the Oneida St. parking lot closest to the front office door.
  • For those families that use the Northland parking lot for morning drop-off, please have your child(ren) exit the vehicle when your vehicle comes to a stop along the school building. Also, please pull ahead past the door so more vehicles can stop and multiple children can exit the vehicles all at the same time.
  • Also for those families that use the Northland parking lot for morning drop-off, if you need to park your vehicle to help your child unload their items for school, please park along the tennis courts. This is for safety reasons and to help the flow of vehicles.
  • For those families that use the Northland Ave parking lot for afternoon pick-up, all vehicles need to be parked in a stall in order for a child to enter your vehicle. Vehicles should pull into a stall so you do not have to back out.
  • Students may arrive at XMS after 7:00 AM and will report to the gym/cafeteria. Students arriving between 7:00 AM & 7:30 AM should enter through door #4. Students arriving to school between 7:30 AM & 8:00 AM should use door #4 or door #7. Students will remain in the gym/cafeteria until 7:45 AM when they will be released to go to their lockers and homerooms to begin school at 8:00.
  • Students arriving to school after 8:00 AM will enter through door #1 (main office entrance). Parents/family members do not have to walk their child into school, but should provide a note for the office stating the reason why their child is late to school. The student will be marked tardy if no note is given.
2021-2022 MAP Testing
XMS Students will be participating in standardized tests called Measures of Academic Progress™ (MAP). Xavier Catholic Schools will administer student MAP tests during the fall and spring for grades 2 thru 10 to determine a child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth in the areas of reading, language arts and math. At XMS, testing will take place over 3 weeks. This week is the Math test, next week the students will take their Language Arts tests and the following week will be the Reading test. Please help your child(ren) do their best by making sure they have a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast.
Celebrate Volunteer Meeting: Thursday, September 16th at noon in the XHS Library
Celebrate is the largest, single event fundraiser for Xavier Catholic Schools. All parents/guardians are invited (and encouraged) to volunteer as this event is a system-wide effort benefiting the entire school system. It is also a great way to get to know parents from other campuses. The evening typically features a dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles and games, entertainment, etc. Last year it was a successful virtual event that raised over $560,000. This year we are planning a hybrid experience.

Celebrate meetings are held once a month. This year’s kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday, September 16 at noon at in the library Xavier High School (we will have people there giving directions to the library). At that meeting we will discuss the optimal meeting dates and times moving forward.

Please plan to join us to brainstorm and have some fun while we come together, catch up, and meet new friends. It takes many helping hands to make Celebrate a successful event and we really need great volunteers who want to have fun while getting things done. The meetings are also a great way to provide input and suggest any ideas you have. Children not in school yet are always welcome.
Bonus: there is always chocolate!

Questions or can’t attend, but still want to be involved? Contact Lisa Pfaff at lpfaff@XavierCatholicSchools.org or 735-9380.
The Xavier Homecoming 5K Fun Run & Dog Walk is back! This fun community- and friend-raising event will take place on Saturday, October 2nd at 9:00AM at Rocky Bleier Field at Xavier High School. All are welcome, even your four-legged friends! This is a non-competitive, fun event with two course choices (1 mile or 5K). Register one person or the whole family now! Due to supply chain issues, T-SHIRT ORDERS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8. Go to https://21FunRunDogWalk.givesmart.com for more information and to register.
