Weekly Newsletter
1/12/22
Lord:
In the midst of Winter, when the days are cold and wind can pierce,
remind us of the warmth of your love.
In the midst of Winter, when days are short, dawn comes late, and dusk arrives early,
remind us that in the darkness your light still shines.
In the midst of Winter, when the flowers of spring still lie hidden in the earth,
when leaves are off the trees, and the world can seem bleak
remind us that Easter is but a short time away.
And when in our lives we feel as if we are experiencing a season of winter,
reach out to us with the power of your resurrection
so that we may feel the warmth of your love
and see your light that alone can take away the darkness of our soul.

Xavier Middle School Home and School Association
Dear Families,
I am looking for a few people to join me for a discussion about the XMS HSA. We have an awesome student body and our staff is top-notch. I’d like to join with some parents to discuss ways we can support this wonderful school community! If you are interested, please email me. I will be in touch with possible meeting dates.
Thank you, and I hope to meet some of you soon!
Blessings,
Sara Meyer
Saturday morning Basketball Association - S.B.A.
If your son/daughter would like to play basketball but the current leagues are not a good fit, then the SBA may be what you’re looking for.

We have the S.B.A. for students who do not want the high competitive atmosphere or are not able to commit the time to a traditional sports program, but want to experience the fun and excitement of playing in an organized game with their friends and classmates.  Athletes having fun is our number one goal!  Games are played on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am. All participants in the SBA, regardless of ability, will play the entire game.  Winning or losing is less important than having fun in the SBA.

Students may have other opportunities or family obligations that may be more important than the SBA on a Saturday morning, so the player is not required to attend every Saturday.. There is no problem with that. This program is intended for and limited to students who are not currently playing in another league. If you think this program is right for your son/daughter, sign them up now. You can do so by sending an email to Mr. Linsmeier jlinsmeier@xaviercatholicschools.org. We must have at least 10 players to start the league this spring. Games start on Saturday, January 15 at 9:00 am.
