The public is invited to learn about a new air carrier coming to Williston at a press conference on Tuesday, June 8 at 9 a.m. at the Williston Basin International Airport (XWA). This will be the third commercial airline to serve XWA. The other providers are United Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

XWA to announce New Airline Service June 8

News Release - Williston Basin International Airport (XWA) will make an important announcement related to a new air carrier service at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8 at XWA. Per federal law, face masks are required for in-person attendance. The announcement will be broadcast on KEYZ 660 radio and live streamed on the XWA Facebook page (@flywillistonXWA). Williston STAR Fund on Record-Setting Pace

KUMV-TV - After a quieter 2020, Williston Economic Development (WED) has hit the ground running in 2021. At a city commission meeting last week, commissioners awarded over $200,000 in STAR Fund grants to help several businesses purchase buildings. WED Executive Director Shawn Wenko says the STAR Fund is well on its way to a record year for small business development. Read More
Four More Businesses added to 21 in 2021 Campaign

Williston Economic Development - Williston Economic Development and the Small Business Development Center have added four more businesses to their “21 in 2021” campaign. The goal of the 12-month promotion is to provide STAR Fund assistance to 21 small business projects in 2021. The most recent projects named to the 21 in 2021 campaign include Benellis Boutique (expansion), Peachy’s Boutique (new), Red Rock Collision Center (new) and Senor Egg (new). Read More
Caffeinated 2 celebrates Ribbon Cutting,
Grand Opening at Badlands Town Center

Williston Economic Development - A ribbon cutting and grand opening was held for Caffeinated #2 on Friday, May 28 at the Badlands Town Center. The new location features indoor seating and a drive-through. The original location is a kiosk at the corner of Main Street and 2nd Street West. Caffeinated brews coffee beans roasted at Wild Calf Coffee in Bainville, Montana.
MVP Sport Break, Integrity Auto and Diesel Repair present at 1 Million Cups

Williston Economic Development - The owners of two startups in Williston discussed some of their challenges and successes at 1 Million Cups on Wednesday, June 2 at the Daily Addiction Coffee House. Trenton Plant seeks to process Renewable Fuels

Williston Herald - The Trenton area could soon be home to a renewable diesel and aviation fuel plant derived from agricultural feedstocks. Williams County Commissioners have approved a conditional use permit, requested by AIC Energy Corporation, for a plant that would process 100 million gallons of renewable fuels per year using soybean and canola oil. Creedence seeks to improve Well Production

KX News - Creedence Energy Services is looking to get more out of well production in a more eco-friendly way. “The ultimate goal here is to increase oil production,” CEO Kevin Black said. Earlier this year, the oil and gas company received a grant through the North Dakota Industrial Commission’s Oil and Gas Research Program to test the use of bio-surfactants. Read More

at Harvest Plaza

Williston Herald - Abele Apparel is moving out and moving up, expanding their boutique into the Harvest Plaza in Williston. Abele Apparel was the first business to open up inside the Ebel Building, growing to the point that owner Angel Hanser knew it was time to relocate.
