New: ESA Online Petition & Bishops' Statement
Education Savings Accounts will empower parents to choose the best and most suitable education for their children, regardless of economic standing. The Catholic bishops of Iowa have issued a new statement in support of an ESA proposal, saying this “innovative idea would further level the playing field for parents who lack the resources to choose freely their children’s education setting or who are struggling to keep their children in the school of their choice.”

Reminder: Xavier Wrestling WHITE OUT for Mental Health Awareness Tonight (12/8)
This Thursday (12/8) is Senior Night for Xavier Wrestling as we host Dubuque Senior. This meet will also be a WHITE OUT for Mental Health Awareness Night. JV will begin at 6:15 p.m. and varsity will start at 7:00 p.m. Admission can be purchased online at XavierSaints.org/Tickets. Wear white, support the Saints and help raise awareness for the importance of mental health!
Reminder: Saint Shop Hours Before Christmas
In addition to the regular 1:30pm - 3:00pm hours, the Saint Shop will be open:

  • December 8: 6:15pm - 7:45pm (Wrestling)
  • December 13: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Boys Basketball)
  • December 16: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (Girls Basketball)

The Saint Shop will be closed after December 16 and will reopen January 6th.
Reminder: Annual Battle of 42nd St Blood Drive
Xavier will be having their Annual Battle of 42nd Street Blood Drive: Xavier vs. Kennedy Monday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 13 from 1:30-6:00 pm at the Oakland Church of the Nazarene (3000 42nd St NE). Reminder: Christmas with Xavier this Weekend
Join us for “Christmas with Xavier,” featuring the musical talents of Xavier High School’s vocal music and band students! The concert will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5-7pm in Xavier’s Ron Thillen Gymnasium. Admission is free. A monetary free-will offering or non-perishable item to donate to the Metro Catholic Outreach food pantry will be accepted as admission.

Booster Club Coordinator - Part Time
 
The Xavier High School Xavier Booster Club Coordinator will work alongside staff members, manage volunteers, manage sponsorships, organize concessions, work the XBC Golf Outing, manage allocations or activity programs, attend the four XBC meetings per year and work in collaboration with XBC leadership on meeting agendas.

The position will consist of custodial duties and minor repairs. They will assist in sanitation control and the checking of safety hazards.
