Xugana Island Lodge Rebuild Announcement!

Exciting News

We're thrilled to announce that Xugana Island Lodge will undergo a transformational rebuild. The project will commence on the 15th of October 2024, with the grand reopening scheduled for the 16th of May 2025.

With its idyllic island setting overlooking a permanent deep-water lagoon, Xugana Island Lodge stands as one of the most sought-after destinations in Botswana’s Okavango Delta and is an integral part of the Desert & Delta Safaris family.

During the closure period, any existing or new bookings can stay at our nearby Camp Okavango, situated within the same concession area, or, Nxamaseri Island Lodge, in the Okavango panhandle. Like Xugana, Camp Okavango & Nxamaseri Island Lodge offer guests year-round mokoro excursions, boating adventures, and guided walking safaris.

We can’t wait to reveal more information about the new Xugana Island Lodge project in the months to follow.
